How Much Money Did Floyd Mayweather Make From Boxing in His Career?
Floyd Mayweather is arguably the greatest boxer of all time. It’s a hotly contested argument, sure, but few fighters can compete with a 50-0 record and even fewer can compete with the purses he’s collected as a result.
Nicknamed ‘Money’ for a reason, Floyd Mayweather’s net worth continues to grow, despite stepping into the ring for the last time in a professional capacity eight years ago.
The richest sports star of the 2010s, we delve into Floyd Mayweather’s net worth and where he made his millions…

It was his fights against the Filipino and Connor McGregor that earned him the most money, though. Half a billion dollars to be precise.
His fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015, a bout that the fans had wanted for many years, saw him earn $250million from his unanimous decision win, while his fight against UFC star Conor McGregor two years later earned him $300 million, changing the shape of boxing forever and paving a way for crossover boxing matches.
He said of the fight: “They asked for this fight. I was in retirement, but they wanted me back and I’m back.
“People all around the world demanded this fight so I had to give them what they wanted to see.”
His fight with McGregor was so lucrative that he earned more that night than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s combined yearly earnings. No wonder it was titled ‘The Money Fight’.
The fight itself split opinion among boxing fans, but despite that it recorded the second highest pay-per-view haul of all time, with 4.3million purchases at a haul of $396million.
