
CANCUN, Quintana Roo, Mexico — As the countdown continues to the highly anticipated rematch between boxing’s most electrifying, undefeated machine, WBC Interim Lightweight World Champion William “El Camaron” Zepeda (31-0, 26 KOs) of San Mateo Atenco, Mexico, and former IBF Super Featherweight Champion Tevin “2X” Farmer (33-7-1, 8 KOs) of Philadelphia, Golden Boy announced today a stacked card featuring its current stars, rising prospects, and former world champions. The 12-round main event for Zepedaߣs WBC interim title is set for Saturday, March 29, at the Poliforum Benito Juerez in Cancun, Mexico, in association with Cancun Boxing, and will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.
Making yet another historic return to the ring, Villalba, Puerto Ricoߣs unified WBA, WBO, and Ring magazine Minimumweight World Champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (11-0, 8 KOs) will defend his WBO title for the fifth time and his WBA and Ring magazine titles for the first time against Queretaro, Mexico’s Edwin “Canito” Cano (13-2-1, 4 KOs). The co-main event is presented by Golden Boy in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions and Cancun Boxing.
“I’m happy and grateful to have our fifth defense and first fight of 2025. I’m thankful to Miguel Cotto Promotions and Golden Boy for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent in Cancun and connect with different fan bases,” said Oscar Collazo. “We will make the most of this opportunity and show once again that we are the best in the 105-pound division in the world.”
“I’m very happy to fight for a world title in my country,” said Cano. “I’m very focused on giving a great fight.”
On the DAZN broadcast, Joselito “El Huracan” Velazquez (20-1-1, 13 KOs) will face a soon-to-be-announced opponent in a 10-round flyweight bout. Making his Golden Boy debut, Robin “Robz” Safar (17-0, 12 KOs) of Las Vegas will take on Roberto Silva (13-3, 7 KOs) of Houston, Texas in a 10-round cruiserweight fight.
Opening the DAZN broadcast with a high-stakes women’s bout, former three-division world champion and five-time titleholder Yokasta Valle (32-3, 10 KOs) of San Jos Costa Rica, will collide with U.S. Olympian and former Unified Flyweight World Champion Marlen Esparza (15-2, 1 KO) of Houston, Texas, in a 10-round flyweight showdown.
