Tropical Depression Two expected to become tropical storm later today
And this breaking we just have the 5 a.m. advisory just dropping on tropical depression too, still maintaining that status right now, but likely to become *** tropical storm as we advance forward. So 35 mile an hour winds now up to about 50 as we head into later tomorrow and Wednesday. The next name on the list is birthday. You can see it’s drifting to the northwest still at 3 miles an hour. It’s going to skirt that northern Gulf Coast, so tropical storm watches are up here. Between the Florida and Alabama border and then maybe making *** beeline for that New Orleans, South Louisiana area as we head into Thursday, so something we’re going to be tracking for you every step of the way for us here locally, not really *** player, but the heat is. You can see this purple here that’s *** pocket of extreme heat expected today before we see storms unleashed that will be pretty intense destabilized by the heating of the day. And as you can see, *** major heat risk elsewhere, we’re not in the heat advisory because we’re not going to be able to hold it and extend it for that long. However, we may change. We’re going to continue to keep you updated at this point though, just your typical hot day with afternoon showers and storms will feel like the triple digits right now 81 in Stewart, 81 in West Palm. We did not cool down much last night, lower 90s. 92 to 95 and we have that good coverage of late day storms which will be pretty intense talking *** lot of rainfall and lots of lightning as we move forward. It doesn’t look terrible on the models this morning. They’re pulling back just *** little bit, but I do want to show you what they are indicating again. It looks like mainly West Coast storms early and then we’re going to see these start to track in later on this afternoon and evening. So *** hot start to the week, *** little breezier. As the day goes on as well, 93 tomorrow and then we’re kind of out of it. 94 or so Wednesday, Thursday, very, very hot, drier, so we could see some heat advisories issued as we move through this week. The weekend looks to be hot and dry as well at about 94 or 95 degrees. South winds at 10 to 20 knots for beach and boating interests. It’s going to be windy out there with 1 to 2 ft, guys.
