Report: Panthers to sign 1 of 7 workout players from Friday

A fresh round of workouts may have yielded another addition for the Carolina Panthers
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Panthers brought in seven players for a look following Friday’s training camp practice. The group is as follows:
- DB Donte Balfour
- DT Kyon Barrs
- DT Jared Dawson
- DT Elijah Garcia
- DB DeCarlos Nicholson
- DB Deantre Prince
- DB Dee Williams
And of the seven, Carolina—per Wilson—plans to sign Barrs
A Murrieta, Calif. native, Barrs split his five-year collegiate career between the University of Arizona (2019 to 2022) and the University of Southern California (2023). Over a combined 51 games, he amassed 120 tackles (12.5 for a loss) and 5.0 sacks
Barrs has gone on to make pro stops with the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals as well as the United Football League’s Dallas Renegades and Houston Gamblers
