Hermosa Beach, CA / Jul 29, 2026 / STRONG Pilates

STRONG Pilates, the global boutique fitness franchise combining Pilates with cardio and strength training, today announced its continued U.S. expansion with new studios opening across Boston, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Maryland, New York City and Philadelphia throughout 2026, alongside signed franchise agreements that will bring the brand to Miami, Florida; Portland, Oregon; and Charleston, South Carolina in early 2027. New studios opening this summer and fall include Back Bay (October) and Fenway (October) in Boston; Santa Monica (July) and Westlake Village (September) in Los Angeles; Gambrills (August) and Columbia (September) in Maryland; Tribeca (October) in New York City; South Park (November) in Charlotte; and Wayne (October) in Philadelphia. Together, these openings will bring STRONG Pilates’ U.S. footprint to 25 locations by the end of 2026 while laying the foundation for continued nationwide growth in 2027.

Co-founded by Australian fitness entrepreneurs Michael Ramsey and Mark Armstrong in 2019, STRONG Pilates has evolved from a bold fitness concept into one of the fastest growing global fitness franchises with more than 120 operating studios across 15 countries, with over 50,000 members and $75 million in net revenue over the past 12 months. STRONG Pilates currently ranks #3 in Australia and #15 worldwide on ClassPass

“Boston, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Maryland, New York City and Philadelphia each have their own distinct identity, but they share the same quality we look for in every market: a community that’s ready for a smarter, more sustainable way to build long-term fitness and well-being,” said co-founder Michael Ramsey. “STRONG Pilates aims to deliver the numerous benefits of Pilates, the cardiovascular gains of high-intensity training, and real changes in body composition and strength in one turnkey, spring-loaded solution. We’re looking forward to building more STRONG humans across these diverse communities as we take the next step in our growth journey.”

STRONG Pilates is more than traditional pilates. Built around the brand’s proprietary Rowformer and Bikeformer machines, each 45-minute class seamlessly blends Pilates-inspired resistance training, cardio and strength into a single low-impact, full-body workout. Programming rotates daily through targeted focus areas, including upper body, lower body, core, obliques and full-body combinations, to support longevity in training and prioritize injury prevention. Instructor-led classes are enhanced by STRONG Pilates’ latest and most advanced technology to date: CONNECT. Purpose‑built for STRONG studios and powered by integrated tablets, CONNECT creates a seamless experience for both members and instructors by delivering programming directly from a central system into STRONG’s Rowformer and Bikeformer machines.

STRONG Pilates enters the Boston market for the first time with three studios opening in Boston and Cambridge. Back Bay (10 Park Plaza) and Fenway (650 Beacon St.) are set to open in October, and Kendall Square (165 Main St.) makes its debut in November.
