Minn. (KTTC) – The city of Rochester, along with Olmsted County, are reportedly conducting a full-scale emergency response <a href="https://healthylife7.com/west-metro-fire-firefighter-in-critical-condition-after-falling-50-feet-during-a-training-exercise/” title=”West Metro Fire firefighter in critical condition after falling 50 feet during a training exercise”>training exercise at Century High School on Monday
The city says this training exercise is part of ongoing efforts to ensure effective responses to potential emergencies, and to strengthen preparedness across local agencies
Some of the participating agencies that will reportedly take part in the training include the following:
- City of Rochester Emergency Management
- Rochester Police Department
- Rochester Fire Department
- Olmsted County Emergency Management
- Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office
- Mayo Clinic Ambulance
- Rochester Public Schools
The city notes that residents and businesses in the nearby area may notice a large emergency vehicle presence throughout the day at the school. It assures there is no cause for alarm, and sirens will not be used by the vehicles on scene
No impacts outside the Century High School property are expected. Roadways and normal traffic patterns in the surrounding neighborhood and greater community should be unaffected, according to the city
