This collaboration is an important step forward in expanding access to evidence-based exercise oncology programs and reinforcing what our industry knows to be true: exercise is essential for mental and physical health
Proud to be part of the work to strengthen the connection between healthcare and health clubs, helping ensure more people have access to safe, effective exercise programs throughout their cancer journey

“We’re excited to announce a new strategic partnership with the American Cancer Society to advance exercise oncology programs nationwide!
Nearly 70% of individuals living with and beyond cancer experience physical effects from treatment, many of which can be reduced or prevented through targeted exercise
Yet, access to qualified exercise professionals and specialized programming remains limited
Through this partnership, we will expand national awareness of the benefits of physical activity during and after cancer treatment and implement an Exercise Oncology Grants Program through The HFA Foundation that supports workforce training and program development at fitness facilities
Together, these efforts aim to expand the availability of evidence-based exercise programs and better integrate physical activity into cancer care and recovery
