ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) —In Asheville, Appalachian Mountain Health helped get young ones ready for school
Organizers welcomed the public to their 4th annual community health fair
The celebration not only had free backpacks and school supplies, family activities and lots of food, but it gave plenty of kids the chance to get free screenings needed to get back in the classroom

FEELING ANXIOUS ABOUT SCHOOL IS NORMAL. HERE’S HOW PARENTS CAN HELP KIDS MANAGE STRESS
“We’re giving out backpacks with school supplies. We’re raffling away bikes and scooters. We’re also giving away NC pre-k exams as well as sports physicals to anybody who needs them to get back to school, as well as meals for the community,” Appalachian Mountain Health chief operating officer Sarah Kowalec said
The free event also kicked off National Health Center Week
