Wis. (WBAY) – Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport is looking for 25 to 30 volunteers to participate in a full-scale emergency exercise on Wednesday, Aug. 19, simulating an aircraft crash on the runway
The Federal Ae emergency exercise every three years
The exercise is designed to test the readiness of airport, airline and regional emergency responders under conditions that mirror an actual emergency
Volunteers must be 18 or older and will portray injured passengers during the exercise
Check-in begins at 7 a.m. at the airport’s SRE Building, 2077 Airport Drive, Green Bay
Volunteers will receive orientation and injury makeup application before participating in triage and treatment scenarios
The exercise concludes at 12:30 p.m. A continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided. A signed waiver is required at check-in
The registration deadline is Aug. 14, 2026. Volunteers can register at pre-emergency.com. Roles will be filled in order of registration
When registering, volunteers should select the purple “Online Registration” button and complete the following fields:
- Full legal name (first, middle and last)
- Event title: Austin Straubel Airport FSE
- Exercise date: August 19, 2026
- Event location: Airport
- Name, phone number and email address
- Role: Role Player
- Comment or questions: Include date of birth (mm/dd/year)
