Barry Manilow has postponed his scheduled concert in Lexington, Kentucky, just hours before he was due to take the stage, leaving fans disappointed for the second time this year
The 83-year-old singer announced on X that his August 4 performance at Rupp Arena had been rescheduled because of “unforeseen circumstances.” No further details about the reason behind the last-minute postponement were shared
The Lexington show had already been delayed once in March after Manilow stepped away to undergo treatment following his stage 1 lung cancer diagnosis. The concert was intended to mark his return to the city after months away from touring

Singer reflects on cancer journey
Earlier this year, Manilow revealed that doctors discovered cancer during an MRI scan after he sought treatment for hip pain and recurring bronchitis. The unexpected diagnosis, he said, likely saved his life because the <a href="https://healthylife7.com/alarming-surge-in-bluetongue-disease-among-uk-sheep/” title=”‘Alarming’ surge in bluetongue disease among UK sheep”>disease had not caused any noticeable symptoms
Reflecting on the experience in a recent interview, the Grammy-winning singer said the diagnosis forced him to reassess his life and career. He spoke about becoming more grateful for the years he has spent performing, the relationships he has built, and the support of his husband and longtime manager, Garry Kief, throughout his treatment and recovery
Despite the health setback, Manilow has continued making music. He released his 33rd studio album, What a Time, in June, with its lead single, “Once Before I Go,” reaching the top 10 ahead of the album’s launch
Fans who had planned to attend the Lexington concert are expected to receive updated information regarding the rescheduled date from the venue and ticketing platforms
