Coleen Nolan has shown off the results of her 3.5-stone weight loss after dropping from a size 20 to a size 14 and reaching the point where she says she no longer wants the number on the scale to fall
The 61-year-old Loose Women star has documented her transformation throughout 2026 after partnering with clinical weight-loss company Voy. She has said she now has more energy, an improved back and greater confidence in the clothes she wears
The partnership has also generated speculation because Voy offers prescription weight-loss treatments, including injectable medications. Nolan had previously expressed reservations about weight-loss jabs, but she has never publicly said that she personally used Mounjaro, Wegovy or another injection to achieve her 3.5-stone loss
What Nolan has said is that a pre-diabetes diagnosis changed how seriously she viewed her health after years of yo-yo dieting. She joined Voy looking for a longer-term approach and has since said she has reached a weight she is happy to maintain
Coleen Says She Doesn’t Want to Lose Any More Weight
“I feel so much better health-wise,” she told The Sun. “My back’s improved, I’ve got more energy. And confidence-wise, of course it helps.” Nolan also made clear that she was no longer trying to continue losing weight
“I don’t want to lose any more weight, I’m happy,” she said. “It’s about maintaining now and having a healthy relationship with food and with myself.” The change has also altered her experience of dressing for photographs and television appearances. Nolan said clothes that previously would not fit were suddenly too large and sometimes had to be pinned during shoots
She has nevertheless faced criticism in both directions. Nolan said she was previously targeted online for being overweight and later began receiving comments claiming she had become too thin
A Pre-Diabetes Diagnosis Changed Her Priorities
Nolan has consistently framed her latest weight-loss effort around health rather than simply changing her appearance. “My main motivation for starting the weight loss programme was all to do with health,” she said in an April interview. “It wasn’t necessarily to make me aesthetically pleasing to anyone.”
She said being diagnosed with pre-diabetes was a major part of that decision. On Voy’s page documenting her partnership, Nolan describes years of cycling through diets that initially worked before she regained the weight
“I’d be on one diet or another only to lose weight but put it back on plus another stone,” she said. Nolan said the diagnosis made her think more seriously about finding something she could sustain
“That’s when I realised I needed a long-term solution,” she said. “I want to live longer and be active with my grandkids. I don’t want my weight to hold me back.” Voy describes its approach as combining clinical treatment plans with access to clinicians, coaching and ongoing support
She Previously Had Reservations About Weight-Loss Jabs
Discussing treatments such as Ozempic in 2024, she said, “I don’t believe in any of that.” She later expressed concern about whether unexpected side effects could emerge over time, particularly after her son Shane Nolan Jr. began using Mounjaro. Nolan nevertheless acknowledged that the treatment had worked well for him. After Shane lost approximately three stone, she said the change had been “amazing for him” and had helped his confidence and mental well-being
By October 2025, Nolan had announced her own partnership with Voy. “This is it! My weight struggle ends here,” she wrote when revealing the collaboration. “After a lifetime of diets, I’m excited to announce my partnership with @joinvoy.” She said the support and education offered through the programme made her feel ready to approach her weight differently.
Because Voy offers prescription medications, the partnership was widely characterized as a reversal of Nolan’s earlier position on weight-loss drugs. Nolan has not disclosed which treatment option she followed.
The Weight Loss Gave Her More Confidence While Dating
Nolan has been considerably more specific about how losing weight affected her confidence. Ahead of her appearance on Celebs Go Dating, she said she felt more comfortable in clothes and more confident about returning to the dating world
“I’ve lost three and a half stone so far. I feel more confident, I definitely feel better,” she told The Sun. She contrasted her current approach to getting dressed with how she previously felt about herself. “When I put clothes on, I feel like, ‘Yeah,’ where before I’d go, ‘That will do, that looks alright,’” she said
Nolan joined Celebs Go Dating after her relationship with Michael Jones ended and has said she was not recruited reluctantly into the series. In Channel 4’s interview for the show, she revealed that she actually asked her manager to contact producers because she wanted to participate
“I thought, ‘Do you know what? I’m single. I’ve been on the dating apps,’” Nolan said. “And I thought, ‘What a fun way to do it with experts helping you.’”
She Has Also Returned to the Stage
Nolan’s more confident period has coincided with a return to live performance. Her 2026 This Is Me show mixes songs with stories about her life, audience questions and appearances from her son Shane
The production was designed as a more personal follow-up to Nolan’s previous solo touring, with the former Nolans singer discussing both difficult periods and happier memories from her decades in entertainment
“I want to share the fun memories but also, there was heartache too,” Nolan said when announcing the show. “This show is about embracing life, telling the truth, having a laugh, and celebrating who we are, wrinkles, wobbly bits and all!” Her London performance took place at Bush Hall on August 2nd
