Inspired by Alex Eala, chicken adobo and pork lumpia are being served at the Canadian Open!

On Instagram, Changeover Kitchen Executive Chef Ashtad Dadachanji gave a peek at how he prepared Chicken Adobo ($17 ≈ P741.11) for the National Bank Open

The sizzling, pan-fried adobo is served on top of steamed white rice, finished with leeks

“At this point, it’s not just a taste of home, but an ode to the amazing, hardworking, happy community that fills Toronto with such a vibe,” Chef Ash said

“The screams, the roars, the singing, the music, the energy that we see is absolutely amazing,” he added

Just ahead of Alex’s Round of 16 match against Belinda Bencic, Changeover Kitchen announced an addition to the menu: the Filipino favorite pork lumpia

“Fans, we heard your voice,” Chef Ash said. “We delivered.”

The deep-fried pork lumpia ($12≈P523.14) is served with crumbs of chicharron, garlic chips, and crushed peanuts, drizzled with banana ketchup
