This year, the Buffalo Bills celebrated New Highmark Stadium’s opening with the return of the Blue and Red game, and that meant the team debuted their new “Nickel City” uniforms

The response to the uniforms in action has been divisive, to say the least. The new uniforms feature blue numbers and socks to go along with the grey jerseys and pants. Names are written in white, while the Bills also debuted a new red, white, and blue helmet to bring it all together

Almost immediately, fans began comparing the jerseys to a can of Diet Pepsi. It’s hard to ignore the similarities when seeing them side-by-side

Some fans responded to NFL Memes’ post on X, formerly Twitter, with one giving their opinion on why the uniforms failed: “Any shade other than very light gray, like in baseball away uniforms, is awful. I have no idea how this became the trend for uniforms across sports for the last few years,” they wrote

Others weren’t as down as some were on the new uniforms, as one X user said, “The gray is clean, but that helmet takes it to another level.”

When will the Bills properly debut their new uniforms?

The Bills will properly debut their new “Nickel City” uniforms in the regular season in Week 3 when the Los Angeles Chargers come to town

They will wear the uniforms again a dozen weeks later in Week 15. The Bills will face the Chicago Bears at New Highmark Stadium and show off their new jerseys during a nationally televised Saturday night game

Additionally, the Bills will suit up in their “Rivalries” and red alternate jerseys during various matchups. They will play their division rival Miami Dolphins wearing their “Rivalries” uniforms and will break out the reds in Week 18 against the New York Jets
