Early Delivery and Future DoW Integration

The team’s development strategies culminated in a historic milestone in December 2025, when WPAC’s commercial partner and cFDP developer, Mantel Technologies, received a low-risk determination letter from the FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine. By February 2026, the product launched for commercial pre-sales—achieving Initial and Full Operational Capability (IOC/FOC) well ahead of schedule

Under the leadership of U.S. Army Lt. Col. Sheila Johnson, WPAC’s former cFDP product manager, the cFDP IPT maintained unmatched communication with the end-user communities across the DoW

During the next steps in the development and acquisition process, the WPAC development team will drive future review milestones during the next fiscal year. Current sustainment actions include the following:

Formulary Integration:Adding cFDP to the U.S. Army Veterinary Medical Standardization Board Small Animal Formulary, with ongoing efforts to include it in veterinary assemblages and the Joint Deployment Formulary.
Logistics and Procurement:Establishing pathways for the U.S. military services to procure the product through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Electronic Catalog (eCAT) and working to obtain a National Stock Number (NSN).
Curriculum Development:Coordinating with Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCOE) personnel to formally incorporate cFDP instruction into standard training curriculums, utilizing newly available training kits.
