Galería Canalejas Madrid will add a luxury wellness centre by AIRE Ancient Baths, with an investment of €21.5 million and the planned creation of around 100 jobs. The new area will expand the complex’s experiential offering, where shopping, haute cuisine and premium services already coexist, and will strengthen its evolution towards a lifestyle destination in the city centre
The project will occupy nearly 2,200 m2 on the lower ground floor of the building and will have independent access from Calle Alcalá. The proposal will focus on relaxation of body and mind and will be inspired by the baths of the ancient Greek, Roman and Ottoman civilisations. Its addition responds to the growing interest of high-impact clients in holistic experiences, while integrating wellbeing, gastronomy, shopping and specialised services in a single destination
The arrival of AIRE Ancient Baths also fits with the company’s model, which develops its centres in landmark buildings located in the heart of major cities. Galería Canalejas occupies a group of seven historic buildings next to Puerta del Sol, a location that the brand considers exceptional for its arrival in Madrid.
