Netflix is looking to cast people who have undergone a major body transformation for its new reality dating series, Weight to Date
The streamer announced Tuesday that the unscripted dating show will follow singles “during and after extreme weight loss as they navigate dating, identity, and the search for lasting love.”
Included in the press release is a link to the website www.WeightToDateCasting.com to apply for the debut season. At the top of the form is the question, “Are you ready to find love after a significant body change?”

It adds: “This new inspiring dating series will highlight the journeys of selected singles who are discovering what dating is like after a major body transformation.“
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a legal U.S. resident
According to Deadline, the series will follow more of a documentary format, focusing on 10 to 12 people, some of whom have lost a drastic amount of weight and are ready to enter the dating scene
Weight to Date is just Netflix’s latest unscripted dating series, following Age of Attraction, which mixed 40 singles between the ages of 22 and 60. Its portfolio also includes Love is Blind, where singles date through a wall and get engaged sight-unseen,Temptation Islandand the seven-time Emmy-winning reality show Love on the Spectrum

A premiere date forWeight to Datehas not yet been announced
The show arrives at a time when weight-loss drugs, specifically GLP-1 injectables Ozempic and Wegovy, are surging in popularity in the U.S
Data collected by Gallup found that GLP-1 usage has nearly quadrupled since 2024, up from 3 percent to 11 percent in 2026
Ozempic was first approved by the FDA in 2017 as a treatment for type 2 diabetes. In 2021, it became a top choice among celebrities and influencers to curb appetites and therefore shed weight
That same year, the maker of Ozempic launched Wegovy, an FDA-approved solution to help with chronic weight management

Several famous faces, including tennis superstar Serena Williamsand This Is Usactor Chrissy Metz, have opened up about their use of GLP-1 drugs. Both Williams and Metz have even signed on with Ro, a telehealth company, as ambassadors to promote its weight-loss medications and platform
“I’m not getting any younger,” Metz told People in August of her decision to start taking a GLP-1. “I’m in perimenopause, and there were obesity issues within my family and with my father, and I felt like I’ve tried so many modalities, whether it was diets or therapy, and none of it really worked for me.”
