Physician Kirk Bass, owner and medical director of Shea Aesthetic Clinic in Oak Ridge, will be the speaker at this club year’s first meeting of Altrusa International of Oak Ridge, set for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 215 S. Illinois Ave
Bass will speak on “Living a Healthier Life.”
According to Altrusa information, Bass said he believes “it’s what you give of yourself that makes you beautiful.” His role model and hero, his younger sister Melanie, died from breast cancer at age 39. She was compassionate and kind. She found joy in every moment. Melanie was the epitome of beauty because she strived to make everyone feel loved. Her warmth and kindness inspire Bass to serve each others with compassion each day

Social time begins at 11:30 a.m. The buffet opens at 11:45 a.m. The lunch costs $20. A seat-only reservation costs $5. Cash or check only are accepted.
