Ga. (WALB) — The airport held an Airport Fire Station Training Exercise Sunday, Aug. 23
Airport emergency response crews spent the day performing different safety exercises and training activities
According to a press release from the city, the training was held to ensure airport fire and emergency members are prepared and equipped to respond safely and effectively in case of a real emergency
No real emergency took place, and any flames were restrained
The city appreciates the community’s understanding and support as the airport takes necessary steps to maintain the highest levels of safety and preparedness
