A FREE health and wellbeing drop-in event is being held in Greenock to help raise awareness of diabetes
The event is part of a wider effort to promote healthier living and improve understanding of the condition
Organised by Your Voice Inverclyde in partnership with Diabetes Scotland, the Living Well Inverclyde event will be held on Wednesday, September 2 at the Living Well Hub, 51 Hamilton Way, from 3-7pm

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about diabetes, assess their risk of developing type 2 diabetes, and explore local support services
The event will also highlight nearby groups, activities, and movement opportunities, along with tailored support for young people living with diabetes
Diabetes Scotland will deliver free awareness sessions during the event, including Understanding Your Risk of Developing Type 2 Diabetes from 3.30-4pm and again from 6-6.30pm
A Diabetes Awareness session will follow from 4-4.30pm and again from 6.30-7pm
Organisers are encouraging community members to drop in for a cup of tea or coffee, gather information, and take part in conversations about maintaining good health and wellbeing
