2027’s Paityn Adams flips commitment to Mizzou Gym

After a successful visit to Missouri over the weekend, along with 4-star Annie Cole (2028), 5-star Malia Fang (2028) and 3-star Peyton Doray (2028), Rowlett, Texas native Paityn Adams has flipped her commitment from Denver to Missouri!
Her Instagram caption accompanying the commitment post read:
“I am incredibly honored and excited to announce that I have committed to the University of Missouri on a full ride scholarship! This decision is one that I have put a great deal of thought, time, and heart into, and I could not be more excited and confident about my path ahead. Throughout this journey, I’ve listened to my heart and stayed courageous to find the place that felt right to me, and I’m beyond grateful I found that place at Mizzou!”
“I’d like to show my gratitude to the Mizzou coaching staff for showing me why it’s so amazing to be at mizzou, to my hosts who made this visit so special, to my parents who stood behind me throughout this whole emotional journey, and finally, to the Lord above, because none of this would be possible without him. I can’t wait for what’s next! Go Tigers!” 🐯 🖤💛
Before committing to Denver in September 2025, the two-time DP Nationals qualifier also took an official visit to Michigan State. Adams, a three-star recruit, is coming off a successful Region 3 Championships in April, where she won both Bars (9.90) and Beam (9.775) titles for Metroplex. In March, she also won a pair of state titles at Texas States on floor and beam (tied)
Here’s some recent training videos! Per Nate Salsman, on vault she has previously competed a front pike vault, but appears to be working on a front pike half upgrade (i.e. Kaia’s vault)
Paityn is the second commit of the 2027 class for the Tigers, joining Ruthie Wehrung, who committed last September
