Dr. Mehmet Oz, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator, is the latest Trump administration official to post bizarre videos of himself working out on social media to push the Make America Healthy Again agenda

In a new video that Oz, 66, shared Saturday, he showed off his squat technique and advised viewers to visualize sitting down on a toilet seat to attain the proper form

“Super simple: it’s called a squat. You’ve all heard of it,” he says in the video, which looks as though it was filmed in his backyard, with a white picket fence visible in the background

Oz then explained that to do squats correctly, one must attain the proper form during exercise to prevent injuries and ensure the correct muscle groups are being engaged

To help viewers understand the correct movement, he advised that they imagine themselves sitting down on a toilet seat

“But you’ve got to do squats the right way: don’t lean forward. You want to sit back like your bottom is about to touch the toilet seat,” he says

On his return to a standing position he momentarily appeared to lose his balance. He recovered, and continued demonstrating his technique

Oz was widely mocked on social media for his technique

“From his upcoming book ‘How to Look Like a Complete Dork in the Park’,” one person said

Another user criticized his form. “This is not proper form for a squat in any capacity,” another wrote. “Stick to selling snake oil.”

Oz also advised “walking briskly” on a regular basis to improve one’s heart health

“If you can do that, you’ll do something very interesting besides strengthening your heart muscle. You’ll actually take your arteries, which is sort of like this big tube,” he said, slapping the side of a children’s slide

He warned that arteries can become rigid, and said that brisk walks can help keep them flexible. Oz also demonstrated pull-ups on a monkey bar, which he did without issue

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy,a key MAHA figurehead, has also posted videos of himself working out and giving health advice

In one video,Kennedy does pull-ups and push-ups in blue jeans alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. In another, posted in 2024 before he joined the Trump administration, Kennedy leapt out of a helicopter with Navy SEALs into the Pacific Ocean to show off his good health

The strangest of Kennedy’s workout videos involved him and Kid Rock working out — often shirtless — before the Health Secretary plunged into cold water in his blue jeans. To finish, he bathed shirtless with the rocker in a hot tub while drinking whole milk

Hegseth shares his own workout videos, though the content is more about the defense secretary showing that he can hang with the troops than offering fitness advice. In one video, Hegseth filmed himselflifting weights with military membersstationed at Guantanamo Bay. Another clip showed him breathing heavily as he tried to keep up on a run with service members

Even Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has gotten in on the workout video trend. In December 2025, Duffy and Kennedy roped off a portion of Ronald Reagan National Airport in Virginia tofilm themselves having a pull-up competition near a terminal

Kennedy beat Duffy, doing approximately 20 pull-ups to Duffy’s 10
