Caitlin Clark has been a hot ball of criticism since the start of the 2026 season. Some analysts and fans have berated her for yelling at the officials and crying about every second foul. Recently, her flopping clips have added to her criticism. Women’s basketball content creator Angela Perry expressed her views on social media

On Friday, July 17, the creator posted a clip on Instagram of the second-quarter moment between Clark and Golden State Valkyries center Kiah Stokes during the Fever’s matchup with the Valkyries on Wednesday. Clark drove to the basket with the center protecting the paint, and the guard seemingly got hit and toppled down

The Fever guard came back yelling at the officials for missing the foul, but the slow-motion sequence told a different story. Commenting on the moment, Perry said:

“There was no contact. Even if there was, it’s a contact sport… What do you mean she kneed you? She didn’t touch you… I watched her in college before you’ll knew who she was, she needs to go to the gym. If you get hit in the stomach and you roll around like you’re three years old, your abs are weak… First she limped up the court, then she forgot that she was acting, and then raced over to yell at the refs, she forgot to keep limping. She’s terrible at acting.”

Perry, who is also a former college player, has moved into content creation, with her insights on women’s basketball. She has more than 22k followers on Instagram. Clark has a lot of attention for constant tussles with referees, and fans have blamed the officials for giving her a free pass by giving her technical fouls. After the game, the guard also talked about playing the game with a contusion because she got hit in the knee

Fans dig out old clips of Caitlin Clark flopping during college games

Flopping was a big issue in the NBA, and several players, like Jaylen Brown and Tyrese Haliburton, have called out such techniques to get a whistle from officials. The WNBA is also seeing a similar trend, as the debate around Clark’s antics intensifies with time

Fans have now begun to dig out old clips of college games, in which Clark could be seen flopping. The caption read:

“At a certain point you gotta call a spade. She’s out here trying to set these women up to be the target of her sycophants. And it’s not new.”

Additionally, the slump in Caitlin Clark’s offensive production has not helped her case among fans. The team is still struggling to put in consistent performances, and a lot of it has been credited to a mismatch between head coach Stephanie White and Clark’s styles
