CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A Montgomery clinic is taking a different approach to preventative medicine, using detailed health screenings to identify risks before patients show signs of illness
Quotient Health, co-founded by Dr. Justin Greiwi, offers evaluations that go beyond a standard annual exam. A single visit can include a blood draw and a full-body scan designed to give patients a comprehensive picture of their current health
“So instead of just a typical 10, 15 minute annual exam, we do a deep dive into lots of different health metrics,” Greiwi said
That includes measuring body composition — muscle mass, fat mass and the presence of fat around internal organs
“All those things are really important to create a narrative on how to best approach your health,” Greiwi said
Greiwi said 80% of chronic disease is preventable with proactive care. Recommendations provided to patients — including guidance on diet, nutrition, fitness and supplements — are based on individual biomarkers, genetic history and epigenetics
“We can do a specific personalized approach to you based on your personal metrics, your genetic history, your epigenetics,” Greiwi said
Former NFL player Rocky Boyman, 46, was recently evaluated at Quotient Health. Boyman spent eight years playing in the league and said he is now focused on what he can do to support his health in the years ahead
“I think you always have worries about your fitness, and especially as you get older,” Boyman said. “I am 46 now, and not running around the way I used to, but so I’m trying to be more cognizant of some things I can do now that maybe help my fitness five years from now, 10 years from now.”
Boyman’s visit comes as research shows men are 33% less likely than women to see a doctor. He said progress does not require returning to peak athletic performance
“Maybe you can’t run as fast as you did or bench as much as you did in your 20s or 30s, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop,” Boyman said. “You can take some of those small wins and the more you can just kind of pile those small wins, you look around and you’re doing a lot for your health and your wellness.”
