SYRACUSE, N.Y. —The Onondaga County Department of Aging and Long Term Care has partnered with PEACE, Inc. to bring together older neighbors over a delicious meal at the CNY Regional Market
According to the organization’s social media, there will be four “Senior Nutrition Days at the Market” this summer. Those will happen Thursdays, July 23 and 30; and again on August 6 and 13
The kinds of meals served will be announced on the day of. Today’s meals will include BBQ pulled pork on a kaiser roll, a red skin potato salad, coleslaw, and watermelon. The Senior Nutrition lunches will be held at the CNY Market Regional Shed D, from 11a.m. To 1p.m
Reservations can be made by calling (315)470-3331, option two. Meals are free for adults 60 years and older, but donations of $3.50 are suggested to help fund future meal programs. For guests younger than 60, meals are $7. However, the organization says that no eligible individual will be turned away due to an inability or unwillingness to pay
