Soldier assigned to the 1st Infantry Division conduct an Expert Physical Fitness Assessment validation in preparation for the Expert Infantryman Badge, Expert Soldier Badge and Expert Field Medical Badge qualification at Fort Riley, Kansas, July 20, 2026. The Expert Physical Fitness Assessment is the first event of the E3B testing process and evaluates participants’ physical readiness before they attempt a series of rigorous tasks designed to assess proficiency, technical competence and tactical skills required to earn the Army’s Expert Infantryman Badge, Expert Soldier Badge or Expert Field Medical Badge.
