The Sixers were able to land James on a 2-year $8 million deal to join Maxey, Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, and Co. in an effort to get Philadelphia over the hump in the East. This is a franchise that has not been past Round 2 since 2001 and hasn’t won a title since 1983. Now, Philadelphia will be expected to go deep into the playoffs and reach that mountaintop when considering the additions it made in the offseason
In preparation for the coming season, James and Maxey were back in the gym and working out together with trainer, Chris Johnson
James and Maxey are both workaholics, as both players love being in the gym and improving themselves as players, and working on their games. They have worked out in the past, but this just hits a bit different now, knowing they will be teaming up together in Philadelphia in the 2026-27 season
