The trainers at Caution Fitness Facility say they have an investment in every person who walks through the door
Owner Dominick Maurici says the personal treatment is what keeps clients coming back
Caution Fitness is a result of his work over the last 15 years, and now he has two locations with about 750 members
The Miramar location is celebrating with a grand opening from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 8. The event includes a free run with Pines Running Co., a workout and yoga session

Functional fitness means exercise that focuses on strengthening practical, everyday movements such as lifting items or bending to pick something up
“We make it very simple for you to reach the goal that you want to reach,” Maurici said. “And slowly you’ll start progressing into it, and seeing the change in your body.”
He makes a point to know every client by name. He’s even hired some of them. Most Caution Fitness employees were once gym members, including the manager
Maurici welcomes kids and adults and aims to serve local clients with exercises that interest them
In 2025, Maurici took over a CrossFit location in Miramar after establishing a location in Miami Lakes. The dream was to be the “gym that has everything,” he said, so he added an indoor soccer area and a smoothie bar
An indoor soccer academy for kids starts during the first week of public school
To help clients with nutrition goals, Caution Fitness offers ready-made meals that are intended for meal prepping
Member Diego Albieri has been at the facility for six months and said his physical progress is apparent, but he has also seen changes in other parts of his life
“My experience so far has been great. Not only physically, I’m also paying attention to the food that I eat,” he told the Miramar News
“I believe … seeing the results motivates me to eat better, sleep better. I’m going on Fridays so instead of going out to drink, I do CrossFit.”
Caution Fitness offers afree week of classes before committing to a program. The CrossFit 8 Days Class Package starts at $150. Unlimited classes for four weeks starts at $249
Registration for the grand opening is free on Eventbrite, but spots are limited
