Why Patlabor the Case Files is a notable comeback for the mecha franchise
Although there have been anime, manga, theatrical releases, and other media, the comeback of Patlabor the Case Files will mark the official return of the franchise in the gaming world. The last game released was Patlabor: Come Back Mini-Pato for the PSP in 2005
When playing the new 3D action game, players can relive many iconic scenes from Patlabor. Moreover, there are Main Missions and Side Missions that can be played from the Special Vehicles Section 2 or the opposing side
Users can also pilot iconic Labors like Ingram, Griffon, and Type Zero in mecha combat. Additionally, Simulator Mode lets players engage in Labor vs Labor battles featuring over 20 playable characters. This mode can also let users take on target practice
