From attending open gym outside of her regular gymnastics classes to developing into an elite athlete, Reingold has persevered both mentally and physically to get where she is today. After initially committing to Auburn, Reingold changed her college plans, flipping her commitment to Georgia to compete alongside her older sister, Autumn, and reunite with Georgia coaches Cecile and Laurent Landi.

    College team:Georgia

    Hometown:Cypress, Texas

How did you first fall in love with gymnastics? Can you remember the moment or feeling that made you realize it was your sport?

I fell in love with gymnastics when I made my club team when I was 4 years old. I loved watching my older sisters and always being with my friends.

What’s one moment in your gymnastics journey you’ll never forget? Whether it’s a big win or a quiet milestone, what made it special?

I will never forget when I won bars at level 10 nationals in 2024. In my previous years of level 10, bars were always a struggle. I was really proud of myself and grateful to my coaches for helping me get there!

You’ve got lots of upgrades in the works. What skills are you most excited about putting on the competition floor?

I am really hoping to compete a one and a half on vault! I am also working on putting a triple series on beam

You originally committed to Auburn but reopened your recruitment after the coaching change. What was that process like, and what ultimately made Georgia feel like the right fit for you?

It was hard because I had my heart set on going to Auburn. But after all the coaching changes, I realized that Georgia would be a better fit for me. I’m excited to work with Cecile and Laurent again! I’m also so excited to work with Megan [Haught] and Brenna [Brooks]. All the girls were so welcoming and made a huge impact on my decision. Overall, it just felt right!

How meaningful is the opportunity to compete alongside your sister at Georgia?

Not a lot of people get to compete with their sibling on the same team! I’m so grateful we get to compete at such a high level together. Autumn has always been one of my biggest supporters, and it’s going to be great having her right next to me on the competition floor!

You are currently a member of the 2026 level 10 national team. Can you tell us more about that experience and what it entails?

I’m so grateful to be a part of the 2026 level 10 national team! It was a goal I have always had in the back of my mind, and it feels great to have finally achieved it!

Who has made the biggest impact on your gymnastics career, and how have they inspired or shaped your journey?

My family has been the biggest impact in my gymnastics career. Without them, I would never be where I am today. They have supported me through all the ups and downs. It is so great to have all of my siblings in the same sport as me!

Gymnastics is full of highs and lows—what’s one of the toughest challenges you’ve faced in your journey, andhow has overcoming it shaped you as both an athlete and a person?

Having to be locked down for 4 months due to COVID in 2020 was such a difficult time. I lost a lot of my skills and strength. I had to work extra hard to get it back. It took months for me to get back to where I was before we got shut down. But I realized how much I loved gymnastics after it got taken away from me. I learned to appreciate it more and not take it for granted!

Looking ahead to your college career, what are you most excited to experience—both as a gymnast and in your personal life?

I’m excited for so much more than just gymnastics. I can’t wait to become independent, live on my own, and meet people from all different backgrounds while building lifelong friendships. I’m also excited to travel to new states and compete in arenas I’ve dreamed about competing in. It will be so cool to see girls I’ve known from club now competing in the NCAA alongside me. And of course, competing in the SEC has always been a dream of mine, so I’m incredibly excited to finally experience it.

What’s something on your college gymnastics bucket list?

I want to win a national championship! I also want to compete on all four events and become a first-team All-American at nationals.
