Wildhive Callow Hall, a boutique hotel on the edge of the Peak District, has opened its new Coach House wellbeing space

Set within 35 acres of woodland, Wildhive Callow Hall combines a restored 1850s house with secluded woodland hives and treehouses

Its new nature-led wellbeing concept brings together thermal therapies, red light treatments, yoga, breathwork and creative workshops

The brainchild of Wildhive’s founder, Charles Randall, Wildhive Wellbeing is about bringing people back to nature and balance

The Coach House is between the courtyard, garden and potting shed – a space designed for stillness and rest

The dedicated Coach House space is set apart from the main house between a courtyard, garden and potting shed

Thoughtful design and stillness invite a slower rhythm for rest, renewal and rejuvenation. Biophilic planning throughout was crafted by Gavin Cox at Atavi Life

Wildhive’s Wellbeing in Nature philosophy pairs time outdoors with simple, evidence-informed practices to gently support recovery, deepening reconnection and allow space for a true reset

There is a halotherapy cabin supplied by Halotherapy Solutions, offering a quiet space with mineral-rich air

At its core, the Coach House space has a thermal journey with facilities including saunas by Aquateq and Finnmark, cold plunges by the Polar Plunge Company and a halotherapy cabin by Halotherapy Solutions

There is also a Vitality Cabin by Sunshower, which provides low-level UV to help stimulate vitamin D levels, coupled with red light and infrared warmth to support energy, recovery and balance

Beyond this, there is a barefoot reflexology path in the landscaped courtyard, inviting a slower pace and a heightened awareness of the ground

“Modern life has pulled us away from the environments that restore us. Wildhive Wellbeing is about bringing people back to nature, to balance and to a more instinctive way of feeling well. It’s not just rest, but restoration – where energy is rebuilt through movement, stillness and connection to the land.”

    Charles Randall

    Co-founder of Wildhive

“The inspiration started with watching how our guests behaved when they arrived at Wildhive,” said co-founder Charles Randall, speaking exclusively to European Spa. “We’d immediately see them slow down and realised we could be far more intentional about that. The Coach House is the result

“The real thread running through all of it is the setting. The Peak District is a landscape of contrast; that’s the rhythm we’ve built the experience around, moving between the heat of the sauna and the shock of the cold plunge to the quiet of the potting shed

“We wanted something that could only exist here, on the edge of the Peak District

“So many guests come straight from the city, weary from its pace; we’re seeing them arrive genuinely depleted, looking for more than a single treatment. They want to understand how to feel better and carry some of that home with them

“People have always instinctively known that being outdoors can do wonders for wellbeing. That gave us the confidence to build the whole concept around it. The Coach House is a place where ancient therapies, modern science and the restorative power of nature come together.”

The Potting Shed houses two Gharieni Welnamis vibroacoustic beds supplied by Ellisons

    The Potting Shed

Reimagined as a sanctuary for the senses, inside the Potting Shed there are two Gharieni Welnamis vibroacoustic beds offering a fully touchless, immersive reset

Guests can choose between the Elements – four 22-minute journeys through air, water, earth and fire – or the Still Mind. These sessions guide them toward meditation, breathwork, mindful relaxation or a deep power nap

There is also quiet relaxation room and, upstairs, treatment rooms with Ellison’s spa beds, offering a menu of massages and facials by Tribe517 and Evolve Organic Beauty

British bath and body brand 100 Acres completes the line-up as amenity partner

Signature experiences include the Wildhive Honeycomb Ritual, a full-body honey exfoliation, and the Akwaterra Thermal Massage, using Tribe517’s warming balm and heated ceramic pods to ease muscles

The Vitality Cabin by Sunshower provides low-level UV to help stimulate vitamin D levels, coupled with red light and infrared warmth

    Self-guided wellbeing

To simplify the experience, Wildhive has introduces self-guided Wellbeing Circuits, allowing guests to tailor to their personal preference

These include Heat & Release (sauna and cold contrast), Restoration (light therapy and relaxation) and Deep Relaxation (herbal sauna, halotherapy and stillness)

Finally, there is a Technogym-equipped gym plus a studio space for yoga, breathwork and sound therapy, alongside a rotating programme of creative workshops from botanical drawing to claymaking

In the studio, the Coach House team will offer yoga, breathwork and sound therapy

The Coach House launch marks the first phase of a wider wellbeing vision for Wildhive Callow Hall. Future plans include a woodland forest bathing trail, outdoor yoga spaces and a greenhouse for workshops

    About the Wildhive Collection

Wildhive is a boutique hospitality brand deeply rooted in nature. It’s characterful collection of houses include cabins, pigsties, treehouses and earth dens dotted around lesser-known parts of the UK

Each Wildhive location has working beehives and nature at its core

In time, the concept will also roll out to future Wildhive hotels including Wildhive Eshott Hall, opening in Northumberland later this summer
