Many people are obtaining prescription GLP-1 weight loss drugs from online vendors without consulting a doctor. A study published in JAMA found that online vendors of the prescription drugs often send medications directly to patients, relying solely on medical information provided by the patient. The study’s authors said the practices of some online vendors may lead to safety problems and reduced efficacy
A study by the Max Planck Institute found that people with even minor cardiac dysfunction had a higher risk for microscopic brain tissue damage linked to Alzheimer’s disease and long-term memory loss. Researchers said more study is needed to understand the connection
