Academy to equip nutrition professionals with practical skills for improved healthcare delivery
CWR Academy, the professional development arm of YourDietBoy Ltd., is set to train Nigeria’s next generation of nutrition professionals with practical consulting, leadership and career development skills aimed at improving healthcare delivery
The skills will also and address the country’s growing nutrition challenges
The initiative, Consulting With Results Experience 1.0, will hold on August 15 in Ikeja, Lagos, and will also feature the official launch of the book, Consulting With Results
The organisers said the programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic training and professional practice by preparing nutrition students, interns, early-career professionals, practising nutritionists and dietitians for the realities of the profession
According to the organisers, the programme comes at a time when Nigeria is experiencing rising food costs and increasing nutrition challenges, underscoring the need for competent, innovative and career-ready nutrition professionals capable of improving health outcomes
Participants will undergo training in consulting, leadership, communication, entrepreneurship, career development and personal branding to enable them build sustainable careers while making greater impact in communities and the healthcare system
Founder of YourDietBoy Ltd. and Convener of the programme, Fiyinfoluwa Odukoya, said the initiative was developed after observing that many nutrition professionals enter the workforce without the practical skills needed to thrive
“Nutrition professionals are trained to improve lives, yet many begin their careers without the practical tools needed to build sustainable careers, create opportunities, communicate their value, or lead with confidence. Consulting With Results was written to help bridge that gap,” he said
Odukoya described the programme as an investment in the future of the nutrition profession, noting that participants would leave with practical knowledge, stronger professional networks and the confidence to create measurable impact
“This is more than a book launch or another professional event. It is an investment in the future of our profession. We want attendees to leave with practical knowledge, meaningful professional relationships, and the confidence to create measurable impact wherever they serve,” he said
He added that equipping nutrition professionals with leadership and problem-solving skills would translate into healthier communities and a stronger healthcare system
“When nutrition professionals are equipped to lead, communicate effectively, and solve real problems, the benefits extend beyond individual careers to healthier communities and a stronger healthcare system. That is the vision driving Consulting With Results,” Odukoya added
The one-day event will feature career masterclasses, fireside conversations, networking opportunities and the official unveiling of Consulting With Results
More than 300 nutrition students and professionals from across Nigeria are expected to attend the inaugural edition, which organisers hope to establish as an annual platform for advancing professional development within the nutrition sector
