Alden Richards is in a much better place physically and mentally compared to three months ago

On Saturday’s episode of “24 Oras,” the Asia’s Multimedia Star shared that he dedicated the past three months to achieving his ideal healthy weight, but it wasn’t just about food and exercise

More than losing weight, Alden said he focused on completely changing his mindset about life

“‘Yung approach ko is not about weight loss, now that I’m 34, my perspective in life is changing as well,” he said in an interview with Nelson Canlas

“Iba ko na tignan ‘yung buhay, kumbaga for me to be available to the people I care about, I have to take care of myself,” he added

Aside from his favorite activities, such as cycling and running, Alden said he has also returned to the gym

“Hindi lang siya about what I eat and what I do,” he said. “It’s also what I think, what I consume in terms of intellect.”

“It’s a holistic shift, basically,” he added

Alden is set to host his first-ever documentary, “Rebuilding Broken Rooms.”

The upcoming GMA Public Affairs documentary, set to air on GMA Network on August 8, will focus on the state of education in the Philippines, which is also an advocacy Alden supports

Alden currently stars in the series “Love, Siargao” opposite Nadine Lustre. It airs every Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. on Viu Philippines

He is also part of the historical film, “Liwanag at Dilim,” which follows the life of Emilio Jacinto, known as the brains behind the Katipunan. He will play Jose Rizal. —Hermes Joy Tunac/MGP, GMA News
