From Reading Hospital – Tower Health
Professionals who spend their days leading, supporting, serving, and caring for others are invited to take a day to invest in themselves at the Empowered Leadership Conference: Self-Care, Connection, and Courageous Leadership, hosted by the Junior League of Reading, PA, Inc. and Reading Hospital on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading
The full-day professional development conference will feature Dr. Maiysha Clairborne, an internationally recognized physician, executive leadership coach, trauma-informed leadership expert, and keynote speaker. A TEDx Editors’ Pick, Dr. Clairborne brings a science-based, practical approach to leadership, burnout prevention, trust, and psychological safety
Whether you lead a team, serve clients, care for patients, educate others, run a business, work in a nonprofit, or serve the community, the demands of our professional and personal lives can take a toll. The Empowered Leadership Conference is designed to help everyone step back from those demands, gain a fresh perspective, and leave with tools you can use immediately
“You don’t need ‘leader’ in your job title to benefit from Dr. Clairborne’s message,” said Caroline Hill, President, The Junior League of Reading, PA. “If your work involves leading, supporting, serving, teaching, caring for, or collaborating with others, this day is for you. You can’t pour into others without taking care of yourself, and this event will give you practical tools to lead, connect, and communicate with intention.”
One Day. Three Workshops. Dr. Clairborne will lead three interactive workshops focused on challenges many professionals face every day:
- Secondary Trauma and Burnout: Understand the impact of chronic stress, compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma and learn practical strategies to build resilience.
- Trust Is the Foundation: Discover how trust and psychological safety affect communication, relationships, and workplace culture, and develop skills for stronger connection and collaboration.
- Moving from Insight to Meaningful Action: Learn Dr. Clairborne’s R.E.M.A.P. framework and turn new insights into practical action at work and in your personal life.
Early-bird tickets are $70.00 through Aug. 21. Tickets will increase to $100.00 beginning Aug. 22. Registration includes a full day of professional learning and interactive workshops, lunch, and light refreshments
