Beyoncéhas never hidden the reality she’s up against: she’s tall (1.70 m/5 feet 7 inches), naturally curvy, has to train constantly for her career, and she’s a mother of three (Blue Ivy and twins: Rumi and Sir) which reshapes the body in ways that don’t simply “bounce back” It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to stay trim – especially as her weight tends to yo-yo so Queen Bey has to keep a close watch on her calorie intake

The singer has followed several diets during her career – including a strictly vegan and Master Cleanse liquid fasting methods

Her approach to her 22‑day vegan program is famously disciplined — a full lifestyle reset designed to lean out, tighten up, and boost energy

The core rules of Beyoncé’s vegan diet

    • No added sugar — zero refined sweeteners.
    • No alcohol — not even an occasional drink.
    • No animal protein — no meat, poultry, fish, eggs or dairy.
    • Fruits and vegetables — the foundation of every meal.
    • Superfoods like chia seeds, quinoa, nuts and seeds.
    • Natural energy bars — nothing processed.
    • Local, seasonal produce — maximum flavor and nutrients.
    • Leafy greens in every dish — spinach, kale, chard, arugula.
    • Asian‑style veggie bowls — big portions, lots of color.
    • Nutritionist‑approved meals — every plate is supervised by a chef and diet expert.

    The macro breakdown Beyoncé follows

Her plan focuses on staying satisfied without overeating:

    • 80% full — stop eating before feeling stuffed.
    • 80% carbohydrates — mostly from vegetables, fruits, whole grains and legumes.
    • 10% healthy fats — nuts, seeds, avocado.
    • 10% plant‑based protein — primarily beans, lentils and chickpeas.

This structure keeps energy high for rehearsals and workouts while helping her lean out safely

Beyoncé, who turns 45 next month, confessed that years of touring has taken a toll on her mental and physical well-being – and she has also struggled with bouts of insomnia

“I’ve picked up many secrets and techniques over the years to look my best for every show. But I know that to give the best of me, I have to take care of myself and listen to my body,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2021, while acknowledging that she may have overdone her diet regime in the past which isn’t healthy either

“I have not always made myself a priority”

“In the past, I have spent too much time on diets with the misconception that self-care meant exercising and being overly conscious of my body,” she explained. “My health, the way I feel when I wake up in the morning, my peace of mind, the number of times I smile, what I’m feeding my mind and my body – those are the things that I’ve been focusing on. Mental health is self-care too

“I’m learning to break the cycle of poor health and neglect, focusing my energy on my body and taking note of the subtle signs that it gives me. Your body tells you everything you need to know, but I’ve had to learn to listen. It’s a process to change habits and look past the bag of chips and the chaos everywhere!”
