Brooks Running
Brooks Running, a brand most frequently associated with its performance sneakers and podiatrist-approved comfort, has made considerable inroads in the lifestyle footwear space as of late.
One of its most recent offerings, the reissued and remasteredAdrenaline GTS 10 model, has been particularly buzzy with steady social media noise and a co-sign from Jay-Z, who’s been frequently spotted in various styles of the sneaker. And now, the Adrenaline GTS 10 is available in a handful of new colorways which cover a spread from stealthy all-black to sporty pops of color
The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10’s latest looks include Coconut Milk/Blue Lolite/Silver, Black/Ebony/Silver, Quiet Gray/Black/Coral Rose and Wood Thrush/Cub/Soybean. Each pair features the same 2000s-era mesh base and synthetic overlays seen on previous colorways, but the true highlight of the reintroduced Adrenaline GTS 10 lies within.

Rather than simply reissue the model with its original 2009 cushioning tech, gave the model an update which can be felt more than seen. The shoe’s midsole is equipped with the Seattle-based brand’s proprietary nitrogen-infused DNA Tuned cushioning, the same tech used in the brand’s top-of-the-line performance running sneakers such as the Glycerin Max 2.
The brand’s subtle remastered approach to the Adrenaline GTS 10 is a novel one, but it appears to be paying off. Typically, athletic footwear brands will reissue retro models with technology that has become dated and in some cases, will even downgrade the materials as a cost-cutting measure. Instead, Brooks may have found a way to make the sneaker even more comfortable than the original version

Not only has the sneaker found a fan in Jay-Z, but social media users have raved over the Adrenaline GTS 10’s comfort. And on Brook’s e-commerce site, the shoe has a 4.6 out of 5 star rating with customers praising its “zero breaking-in period” and “goldilocks” balance of being soft yet supportive.
“Obviously it’s based off of our adaptive DNA technology that we’ve already had,” Derek Campbell, director of footwear innovation at Brooks Running, said in a 2025 video explaining the then-new technology. “The ‘tuning’ part was really that concept of bringing different materials for different parts of the runner’s gait and getting the right things in the right places so they can experience exactly what they really need. So that was the idea of tuning these different foams that we’re using with the large cells in the right places, the small cells in the right places, and tuning it to what the runner is really going to need as they go for their runs.”
