Minn. (KTTC) – Actors, emergency crews and school officials converged on a Rochester high school Monday as part of a coordinated effort to prepare for a real-life crisis
Several agencies with the City of Rochester and Olmsted County, including Rochester Public Schools, held an active threat training exercise at Century High School. Emergency teams practiced responding to a range of scenarios, including reunification — the process of safely returning students to their families
RPS staff participated as actors in the drill to make the scenarios as realistic as possible. The assistant chief of emergency management for the Rochester Fire Department, Brett Knapp, said a real emergency could involve hundreds of students and parents
“What we want to do is make sure we have all of those recan bring the remunity,” Knapp said, “We are going to help keep as many <a href="https://healthylife7.com/two-people-in-michigan-have-died-after-becoming-ill-with-cyclosporiasis/” title=”Two people in Michigan have died after becoming ill with cyclosporiasis”>people safe as we can as well as help them through the aftermath as best we can,”
Training is scheduled to continue Tuesday and Wednesday. Traffic near Century High School is not expected to be impacted
