Could blood a test help predict a person’s risk for developing Alzheimer’s?

    ByBill Ritter
    Friday, July 17, 2026 10:49PM

NEW YORK (WABC) –Could a simple blood test help predict a person’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease or other cognitive impairments?

That question is at the heart of a recent study which states that blood tests could, in fact, help predict a person’s risk for developing the disease, years before any cognitive decline

The major breakthrough came out of this week’s Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in London

Bill Ritter interviewed Rachel Buckley, who’s the lead study author and an associate professor of neurology at Harvard <a href="https://healthylife7.com/medical-school-welcomes-thriving-physician-assistant-studies-department/” title=”Medical school welcomes thriving physician assistant studies department”>Medical School

Bill Ritter interviews Rachel Buckley on how a blood test can help predict a person’s risk for developing Alzheimer’s.

You find more of Bill’s reports on Alzheimer’s, including treatment, early detection, and warning signs, right here on abc7NY. And Bill will continue to report on the disease that is changing his life, on Eyewitness News
