Dolphins work out son of NFL Hall of Famer on Wednesday

Miami Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has made it clear that he’s going to do what he can to constantly turn over the bottom of the roster, hoping to find impact players throughout the year
On Wednesday, Miami hosted a group of players for workouts, including wide receiver Brenden Rice, who is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice
The 24-year-old played at Colorado from 2020-21 and at USC from 2022-23, where he earned All-Pac-12 honors once. In 39 games between the two schools, he caught 103 passes for 1,674 yards and 20 touchdowns
Rice joined the Los Angeles Chargers as a seventh-round pick (No. 225 overall) in the 2024 NFL draft. After spending his rookie year with the Chargers, he had stints with the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Las Vegas Raiders and Green Bay Packers over the last year
While he’s appeared in just three games, Rice has yet to catch a pass in the NFL
Miami also worked out quarterback Kyron Drones, quarterback Chandler Rogers, wide receiver A.T. Perry, linebacker Antonio Grier and linebacker Stephen Dix Jr
