    POOLER, Ga. —

A Georgia-based humanitarian nonprofit has advanced to the Final Four of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Coolest Thing Made in Georgia’ competition, putting its Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food alongside three other standout products made in the state

MANA Nutrition produces ready-to-use therapeutic food, or RUTF, a fortified peanut paste designed to fight severe acute malnutrition in children. The organization began in Fitzgerald and has grown into a global lifeline, making nutrient-rich packets that can provide a child’s basic nutritional needs. According to the nonprofit, just three packets a day for six weeks can help save the life of a starving child

Now, that life-saving product is being recognized not only for its humanitarian impact, but also for the role it plays in Georgia’s manufacturing economy

The Top 4 products advancing to Round 4 are:

    • BrightFarms Greenhouse-Grown Leafy Greens

    • TifTuf Drought Tolerant Bermudagrass

    • Blue Bird Vision Electric School Bus

    • Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food

The bracket-style competition celebrates the innovation, craftsmanship and manufacturing excellence that drive Georgia’s economy. Public voting for the Top 4 round is now open and will close Thursday, July 16, at 9 a.m. Georgians can vote once per day, per device, during each round at CoolestThingMadeInGA.com

Mana Nutrition’s rise in the competition comes as the nonprofit continues expanding its footprint in coastal Georgia. MANA Nutrition opened their 315,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in Pooler in 2025

MANA employs 125 Georgians between its Fitzgerald and Pooler operations

Located just minutes from the Georgia Ports Authority’s Garden City Terminal, the Pooler facility includes 35,000 pallet positions and has already created 50 new jobs. The new center strengthens Mana Nutrition’s ability to ship its therapeutic food around the world, including to humanitarian missions in Gaza and across Africa

What began as a small operation in Fitzgerald has become a major Georgia success story — one rooted in compassion, powered by Georgia-grown peanuts, and now competing for the title of the coolest thing made in the state
