Grand River Health holding Tuesday groundbreaking for new medical office building

Grand River Health will hold a groundbreaking Tuesday for their new medical office building aimed at expanding healthcare access and services for the community.
The ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m
“This groundbreaking represents more than the start of a construction project, it represents our continued commitment to meeting the growing healthcare needs of our community,” Grand River Health CEO Jim Coombs said in a news release.
The new medical building is designed to provide expanded clinical space, improved patient experience and opportunities for future growth.
“The new medical office building will enhance patient access, support our providers, and help ensure that quality healthcare remains close to home for generations to come,” Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kevin Coleman said in the release.
The three-story facility will add 45,000 square feet of clinical space and house orthopedics and podiatry services, physical and occupational therapy, a state-of-the-art therapy pool and a designated pediatric speech and physical therapy area. The project is scheduled for completion in January 2028.
“We are grateful to the community who voted last November to invest in infrastructure that will strengthen healthcare delivery throughout our region,” Chief Communications Relations Officer Annick Pruett said in the release. “This facility represents our dedication to serving our community today while preparing for tomorrow’s healthcare needs.”
The project is one of several being funded through a $65 million dollar bond extension approved by voters in November 2025
