    Va. (WDBJ) – The use of GLP-1 weight-loss drugs has grown, and so has the amount Americans are paying for them. A Northwestern University study found that average payments for the medications by people without diabetes jumped 157% between 2017 and 2022. The study’s authors said employers and insurers are paying more for the medications, and those costs are passed on to consumers

    Babies born to women who received epidurals did not have higher rates of serious neurological conditions, cerebral palsy, or death, according to the Scotland study. Researchers said there is strong evidence that epidurals are a safe and effective form of pain relief for mothers

    College students who spend more time online are more likely to have suicidal thoughts, according to researchers at Boston University. The study found that college students experience some of the same negative effects of social media use as adolescents, and men experience the harm more than women. Students who experienced more online harassment also reported higher rates of suicidal thoughts
