New research suggests Calorcurb option may help preserve muscle while losing weight

GLP-1 medications have transformed the weight-loss conversation in recent years, but <a href="https://healthylife7.com/symposium-highlights-next-generation-of-addiction-researchers/” title=”Symposium highlights next generation of addiction researchers”>researchers are also paying close attention to one potential drawback: the loss of lean muscle mass along with body fat

Sarah Kennedy, founder and CEO of Calocurb, joined We Are Austin to discuss new clinical research on the company’s natural appetite management supplement and how it may offer a different approach to weight management

    Looking Beyond the Scale

Kennedy says Calocurb recently published its fourth human clinical trial, involving 150 men and women with body mass indexes (BMI) between 25 and 35 over a six-month period

“What it showed was the treatment group lost a considerable, significant amount of weight, but it was all fat and no muscle,” Kennedy said

She says preserving lean muscle is an important part of long-term health and weight management

“We’ve got to move beyond just the scales and start looking at body composition,” she said

    Why Muscle Matters

Kennedy noted that some people using GLP-1 medications may experience muscle loss alongside weight loss, making body composition an increasingly important part of the conversation

The study also found participants taking Calocurb lost significantly more visceral fat—the fat stored around internal organs—than those in the control group

“The ones taking Calocurb lost three and a half times the amount of visceral fat compared to the non-treatment group,” Kennedy said

Working With the Body’s Natural Hormones

Rather than using synthetic GLP-1 hormones, Kennedy says Calocurb is designed to stimulate the body’s own appetite-regulating hormones before meals

“We produce our own appetite-suppressing hormones,” she explained. “What Calocurb does is make you feel full faster by super-stimulating the release of your own natural hormones.”

According to Kennedy, previous clinical research found Calocurb reduced:

    • Hunger by 30%
    • Food cravings by 40%
    • Average calorie intake by 18%

She says the supplement is intended to be taken about an hour before lunch and dinner to support portion control

    Where to Learn More

Kennedy says Calocurb is available through Amazon and the Calocurb website

As with any weight management product or supplement, individuals should consult with their healthcare provider before beginning a new regimen, particularly if they have existing medical conditions or are taking prescription medications
