Nsight Health Reports Blood Pressure and Glucose Improvements in Monitored Chronic Disease Patients

Real-world data from Nsight Health show measurable blood pressure and glucose improvements among remotely monitored patients with hypertension, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. A separate analysis conducted by Optum of Medicare patients found a directionally favorable, early medical cost savings signal in the same conditions
Miami, Florida, United States, August 8, 2026 — Nsight Health, a fully managed remote care company, released real-world clinical data and an independent economic analysis examining outcomes among remotely monitored patients with hypertension, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. The clinical findings draw on the company’s clinical database and monitoring analytics through June 2026. The economic findings come from a retrospective matched-cohort analysis conducted by Optum of Medicare fee-for-service patients age 65 and older.
Across its monitored population, Nsight Health documented measurable improvements in disease control. Patients enrolled in remote blood pressure monitoring recorded an average systolic blood pressure reduction of 11.5 mmHg, with reductions reaching 29.6 mmHg among patients with Stage 2 hypertension. Blood pressure control among monitored patients exceeded the 2026 CMS national average of 68.71 percent for the corresponding <a href="https://healthylife7.com/nyc-under-level-orange-air-quality-alert-through-saturday-night/” title=”NYC under Level Orange air quality alert through Saturday night”>quality measure. Among patients enrolled in glucose monitoring, those active in the program for 12 to 18 months showed an average blood glucose reduction of 71.6 mg/dL, moving the higher-risk cohort below the clinical alert threshold.
The outcomes reflect continuous clinical oversight. Between January and June 2026, Nsight Health clinical staff reviewed and actioned 10.9 million remote monitoring alerts, clearing 1.3 million high-acuity cases flagged as at-risk or critical. Out-of-range readings trigger direct nurse outreach, and critical alerts receive immediate clinical response with provider notification when indicated

Separately, Nsight Health engaged Optum to conduct a retrospective matched-cohort analysis comparing Nsight Health Medicare patients with matched controls across the same three conditions over approximately 12 months. The analysis estimated total medical cost savings of approximately $2,500 to $3,000 per member per year before program reimbursement. All three condition cohorts were directionally favorable. The results didn’t reach conventional thresholds for statistical significance, and the chronic kidney disease finding was the strongest signal in the analysis. Remote monitoring and care management reimbursement was excluded from the cost comparison, and the analysis should not be interpreted as a first-year return-on-investment calculation.
