SEATTLE —Five children fighting critical illnesses are getting the chance to take the field like Seattle Seahawksplayers as part of a special wish experience with the team and Make-A-Wish
The children took part in a VIP Seahawks experience Thursday, complete with tunnel introductions, a mock press conference, and a welcome from Blitz and the Seahawks dancers
Among the participants is Aiden, 18, of Tacoma, who is living with kidney disease and wished to meet the Seahawks

Aiden’s favorite player is Jaxon Smith-Njigba because of the wide receiver’s determination — a quality Aiden shares as he battles his illness
The children’s wishes will culminate Saturday, Aug. 15, with special sideline access before the Seahawks’ preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys
Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m
Make-A-Wish, Alaska- Washington chapter has granted 118 wishes since the chapter started in 1986
