A Northwestern University study found that average payments for the medications by people without diabetes jumped 157% between 2017 and 2022. College students who spend more time online are more likely to have suicidal thoughts, according to researchers at Boston University. The study found that college students experience some of the same negative effects of social media use as adolescents, and men experience the harm more than women. Students who experienced more online harassment also reported higher rates of suicidal thoughts
