In what‘s supposed to be a make-or-break year for 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, there is already some cause for concern for the third-year wide receiver
Pearsall, who has struggled with injuries in the early stages of his NFL career, released a workout video of himself on his Instagram Story. In the video, he was seen wearing a knee brace on his right knee

Last year, Pearsall appeared in only nine games for the 49ers due to a PCL injury in his right knee

In an interview last season, Pearsall revealed his knee wouldn’t heal until he had time to fully rest it, hinting that it would feel better after the offseason

Despite wearing the knee brace in the video, Pearsall was seen working out in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and the video revealed him looking explosive in and out of his routes. He also made hard plants on the knee that was injured last year
Through his first two NFL seasons, Pearsall appeared in 20 games. He missed time during his first season due to being shot in the chest. Aside from dealing with the bad knee, he’s also dealt with hamstring injuries

When the 49ers drafted Pearsall with the No. 31 pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, he was coming off a career year at Florida, where he had 965 receiving yards and four touchdowns

In the 20 games he’s appeared, Pearsall has 928 yards, averaging 13.9 yards per catch, with three touchdown receptions
With training camp set to begin soon for the 49ers, they’re hoping Pearsall’s injuries are a thing of the past. He will likely fill in at the slot position with newly acquired Mike Evans lined up outside
