Man arrested after 27-year-old woman dies following visit to wellness center in the Bronx

RIVERDALE, Bronx (WABC) –A man is facing charges after a woman died following a visit to a holistic wellness center in the Bronx
Luis Rojas Cabrera, 55, was charged with reckless endangerment and unauthorized practice of a profession
He was arrested after a 27-year-old woman died after visiting the Bereshit Lifestyle Center on Riverdale Avenue
She went into medical distress and was rushed in an ambulance to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where she was pronounced dead
A website for the facility lists Cabrera as its founder. It is not yet clear why or how Cabrera was treating the victim
Cabrera is licensed in the Dominican Republic, but not in the United States
The medical examiner will determine the victim’s cause of death
