Broadcaster Cheon Ttung, who gained fame as a “mukbang glutton,” has revealed a completely transformed lifestyle following a long battle with illness. Following a noticeable weight loss that has left him significantly slimmer, he is drawing attention by sharing a new daily routine that prioritizes health, noting that even his appetite has changed

On the 20th, Cheon Ttung posted a video on his personal channel with the caption, “I think my appetite has changed. Now chicken breast tastes even better haha. Eating eel for the first time in a while.”

In the video, Cheon Ttung was seen enjoying a meal at an eel specialty restaurant. Unlike the explosive amounts of food he displayed on past broadcasts, he was seen slowly savoring the golden-brown grilled eel with vegetables, demonstrating a newfound commitment to healthy eating habits

While his habit of pairing the eel with pickled onions and *kimchi* suggested he had not lost the joy of eating, his significantly slimmer physique was what drew the most attention. His unrecognizable change in build stands in stark contrast to his former image as a massive eater

Cheon Ttung directly addressed his transformation, stating, “Now chicken breast tastes even better.” This highlights how he, once accustomed to enjoying delicious food to his heart’s content, is embracing a new way of life through strict health management and dietary control

Previously, Cheon Ttung revealed that he battled vestibular neuritis for eight months after the condition suddenly struck in August 2023. Vestibular neuritis is an inflammation of the vestibular nerve responsible for balance, which causes dizziness; Cheon Ttung shared that the deterioration of his health caused significant difficulties in his daily life at the time

The long period of illness led to major lifestyle changes. He quit drinking for his health, which naturally resulted in significant weight loss. Moving away from the image of a man loved for his large build and overwhelming eating capacity, he is now focused on meticulously managing his physical condition

Cheon Ttung is known to the public as the brother-in-law of comedian Hong Hyun-hee (the brother of her husband, Jay-ssun). He drew widespread attention for his extraordinary appetite and unique character when he appeared on the MBC variety program “The Manager” alongside Hong Hyun-hee and Jay-ssun

His serious attitude toward food and massive portions left a lasting impression on viewers, helping him establish the name “Cheon Ttung” through mukbang content on Hong Hyun-hee’s YouTube channel and his own personal channels

In this latest update, however, the narrative of a person regaining their health has become more prominent than his former image as a “big eater.” Rather than giving up the joy of eating, he is building a new relationship with food that balances enjoyment with his physical well-being
