    Actor and producer John Abraham is known for his strict fitness and diet routine. For years, he has been on no-sugar diet and has often talked about the role healthy food plays in his life. In a recent interview with Shilpa Shetty, the actor confessed that its been 27 years that he has not touched his favourite Kaju Katli. When asked about his micros and macros and what his daily breakfast looks like. The actor said that peanut butter has been a consistent in his diet for years.     Peanut butter is packed with protein, and also contains a hefty dose of carbs, making it the perfect pre workout snack to fuel your workout.Apart from being one of the best sources of overall macronutrients, peanuts also contain other essential nutrients which are beneficial to people who gym. It contains phosphorus, which helps the body to produce healthy cells and in producing energy; zinc, which is necessary for immunity, protein synthesis, and DNA formation; vitamin b-6, that promotes heart and immune system health; niacin, which benefits digestion and nerve function and helps produce energy; and magnesium, which aids in over 300 chemical processes in the body. With all these health benefits, peanut butter is no less than a superfood. Unsaturated or healthy fats are present in abundance in peanut butter. These fats are said to negate heart disease by lowering cholesterol, and contrary to saturated fat, helps in promoting weight loss.

    Good vs bad peanut butter

    It is important to distinguish between a jar of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ peanut butter. Those who consume it to aid their workout regimens would already be aware of the difference, but the general public needs a little more awareness. Most commercial peanut butter is loaded with sugar to enhance the taste, making it unfit for healthy consumption. To maintain the semi-liquid composition at room temperature, commercial peanut butter is loaded with hydrogenated oils, which is extremely unhealthy. It contains high trans fat, which causes many health complications like heart disease and diabetes. So while buying a jar of peanut butter, make sure to look out for these two ingredients, and if present, immediately dump the jar. Healthy peanut butter will not contain sugar or hydrogenated oils.
